No. Providing all the individual items are present and in date then the kit does not need to be sealed but should be kept safely and securely. Owners can replace whole kits if they so wish, however this is not a requirement.

The regulations enforcing the carriage of first aid kits refers to the number of Crew and not passengers or persons so the first aid kit carried onboard should be suitable for the amount of crew present.
