Membership Levels
The following classes of Membership are available.
Fellow (FCMS)
By nomination and a membership election a member who has been for at least three years a member of the Society, and who has been not less than seven years in practice as a consultant at the time of his application for Fellowship. Individual Members of the Society also have the opportunity to take advantage of the FEMAS Membership.
Member (MCMS)
A member who having the appropriate qualifications has been accepted and admitted to Membership of the Society following approved application, and who has been not less than two years in practice as a Consultant. Individual Members of the Society also have the opportunity to take advantage of the FEMAS Membership.
Associate Member (AMCMS)
Any person who having appropriate qualifications approaching those required for admission to membership, and practising as a junior consultant with a recognised senior consultant for not less than two years (and with prospects of improving his qualifications). Individual Members of the Society also have the opportunity to take advantage of the FEMAS Membership.
These levels of membership are separate from examiner or surveyor status and will need to be applied for and considered separately.
